Just Because...

I know everyone says that they have 'the best husband in the world', and I guess maybe it's true for them but I s.e.r.i.o.u.s.l.y. have the BEST husband of ALL :) I had been giving Tyler subtle hints, if you consider email wish lists subtle :), but he actually paid attention and got this for me today:
....just because. :)

Have I mentioned I LOVE shopping?!

Today, I went with my friends Katie and Holly to the outlet mall in Jeffersonville, OH - we had a BLAST! Not to mention, we spent way too much money, but that's the point of an outlet mall, right? :)  Even though it was extremely stormy, we managed to always be inside when it was raining and the storm was ahead of us all the way home....here is a picture of our damage in my trunk, and then a few others of my loot at home :)

And yes, I did splurge on one thing:
This adorable Coach bag, and I don't regret it yet! haha!

Set on Fire!

I. LOVE. MY. CHURCH.
At Maranatha Fellowship on Sunday night, 3 people were saved.  Someone handed our pastor a note that asked if we were 'having service on Monday night?' out of the blue, and he said we sure were :) Well, Monday night another woman was saved, so we continued with our revival tonight and 3 more people gave their lives to the Lord!  I love that I can't wait to go to church. If you have time or you don't attend a church, you can join us at mfctoday.org and watch online! You won't be disappointed! :)

Also, the youth group at church is selling the infamous peanut butter eggs for $3.00 apiece and I helped make them so I know for a fact that they're delicious ;)...If you live around here and want to order any, just let me know!!!

Hodgepodge

I'm going to cram a lot into this post, so, you're welcome! :p....first, I wanted to show you a picture of the hailstorm we got last night.  I think this is the biggest hail I have ever seen that I can remember....I know it's not like 'golf ball' size, but it's still pretty big!

I feel like showing a little more of my spring/Easter decor, so... :)
A little spring to our bathroom...
...and a little more to our kitchen! :)

And a few little tweaks I made to my favorite room in the house:
I bought these black sconces at Big Lots a while back and finally got around to putting them up - I love them! Finished with this wall! (for now :p)
annnnnd, I got a new jewelry armoire for Christmas, but my big necklaces won't all fit in it :(...so I hung an Elfa rack up with 3m hooks, because 'wall nazi' (Tyler) complains we have too many holes in our walls that he will have to patch when we move out....lol...but it works out really well so far!

Anyway, I know that this was just 'busy-blogging', so that it looks like something's going on, even though it's not...haha! Tomorrow I'm going shopping at the Jeffersonville outlet mall with my friends Katie and Holly, so hopefully I'll have some awesome deals to post about! :D

G's New 'Do'

Sheesh! I haven't blogged in so long and I don't like it! I have just been so busy with school and a million other things, not to mention I haven't really had anything exciting to blog about :)...But, now that I'm on spring break I have at least a little bit of extra time, and I'm LOVING it! Saturday was shopping, Sunday was church and major spring cleaning, and today was relaxing, errand running, and impromptu revival at church.  To start out the day, Tyler let me sleep in and he took Gidget to the groomer at 8am.  I didn't even hear them leave I was so tired...well, when they got back I had a whole new puppy:
She looks so different, but she's still the cutest doggie ever! :p

Canaan Mini-Vacation

This weekend Tyler and I went to Canaan with his parents, his sister and her boyfriend, and his step-sister and her boyfriend.  Tyler and Jimmy went skiing the first night and the rest of us watched a movie.  We stayed in a cabin in the middle of nowhere - it was so cute and cozy.  The next day we went to Blackwater Falls - here are some pictures!
It was the perfect temperature - about 50 degrees so there was still some snow on the ground but not too cold
Because these deer live in a state park, they are so tame! They'd come right to you for food! (Tyler doesn't really have anything in his hand - it's illegal to feed them, but every single person we saw was giving them something)

And the goobers presenting our cabin :p

We had a fun-filled and relaxing weekend!

Coupons, Passionflower, and Doggie Snuggles

Well, our much needed mini-vacation is almost here! I probably should be packing stuff right now but instead I decided to blog...aren't you glad? :)  Today, I got to sleep in, then go to school, then go out to eat, then go grocery shopping!  We went to Fratello's for dinner, and it was scrumptious, as always!
-------------------------------------------
CaSandra brought me some coupons today since I neglected to get Sunday's paper, and I went shopping after dinner.  Check out my loot:
All of these would normally cost $63.65, and I only paid $23.30! You can't even get all of this stuff in the 'generic' brand for that price.  Of course, this isn't all I got because Tyler was with me, but these are some awesome deals - and my receipt said 48% savings...so I still think I did pretty good! :) Thanks for your help CaS! :)
--------------------------
When I got home from school, I had a package in the mail, and NO, it wasn't something I bought for myself! Haha - it was a gift from my 'Secret Sister' at church.  I love the concept, but I always feel bad when I get things because I don't know anyone to write a Thank-You note to! lol....Anyway, this was what was inside:
Yes, it is just a candle, but it's the prettiest color! And I SO wish you could smell through a computer because it is my new favorite scent! It smells so summery and beachy (two of my favorites things!) Thank you Secret Sister (if you by chance would ever read this)!
----------------------------------
And finally, because I need to pack and get my stuff ready for the morning, (btw, I go to school at 7 on Fridays now instead of 6 on Saturdays.  Thank you Jesus, for little things that make such a big difference :p) we gave Gidget a bath because she is going to stay with Jordan and her dog Banks for the weekend while we're at Canaan.  I don't want to sound silly, because I know she's not human, but I am so sad to be leaving her for the weekend.  I literally have not been away from her overnight since she became ours - she's like my baby and I'm going to have separation anxiety! But, once I dried her hair I took this picture:
Cutest. Dog. Ever.
So fluffy and soft! :)

So, we'll be leaving tomorrow and coming back Sunday night, but I'll for sure have my computer with me - I plan on just laying around, relaxing, watching tv, and surfing the net all weekend...

Easy way to save a life (or 3)!

At school today, a club I'm in (Marshall University Student Nurses Association) held a Red Cross Blood Drive.  Our teachers have a great incentive to get us to either give blood or help work the tables - 5 extra credit points! Although I (really) enjoy the credit, I think I enjoy even more the fact that my blood can help save 3 different people's lives.  I'm lucky that I'm an easy donor (have never passed out, have high enough iron levels, etc.), and that needles don't gross me out, otherwise I probably wouldn't be so apt to donate.  Every time I lay on that table, I think about the people that my blood will go to, and I pray that it will really help them and if I ever need blood someday that someone would do the same thing for me!  I encourage anyone who is able to donate blood to do it - it's free, pretty easy, and it can be the difference between life and death for someone in need!

Here are some pictures of myself and my friends today:
 Me
Amy
and Katie! See - it doesn't even look scary! :)
And I don't even look like I lost a pint of blood - haha!
