Miss Me?? :)

I know, I know, I haven't blogged in FOREVER for multiple reasons, including heaping piles of homework, a million places to be, and not really anything interesting worth blogging about.  But......I figured since Easter weekend is here, I have a couple things to show you :)
I really have a burden for little kids to get to know what the REAL meaning of all these holidays we celebrate.  Easter is becoming more and more about candy and bunnies and baskets, and the real reason is forgotten.  But I will NEVER forget! I have a lot of friends that have kids, and Tyler and I's best friends Jordan and Ethan have a little girl Cadyn who just turned two, and they are so faithful to always be at church and it's a blessing.  We also have friends Andrew and Christy who have Heidi, and they just started recently coming to our church.  Since I don't have a little girl of my own to buy for, I LOVE buying stuff for these girls :) I went and bought them the Easter VeggieTales DVD and a book with the real Easter story in it, and put them in these adorable little baskets that I painted their names on:

How cute! They both have wonderful parents and we love them so much!

Anyway, today, I decided to try to make 'Hidden Surprise Easter Egg Treats' - you've probably seen them advertised in magazines lately.  They're simply Rice Krispie Treats in the shape of eggs that are hollow and have a 'surprise' (M&M's) inside.  They were REALLY easy to make and turned out so cute!

I still have to figure out how I'm going to decorate them before tomorrow's Easter festivities! If you want the recipe, here it is!

I hope everyone has a blessed Easter; remember, it's the day our Savior arose - He is a LIVING Savior, and now we can live with Him in eternity! Hosanna!

Just Because...

I know everyone says that they have 'the best husband in the world', and I guess maybe it's true for them but I s.e.r.i.o.u.s.l.y. have the BEST husband of ALL :) I had been giving Tyler subtle hints, if you consider email wish lists subtle :), but he actually paid attention and got this for me today:
....just because. :)

Have I mentioned I LOVE shopping?!

Today, I went with my friends Katie and Holly to the outlet mall in Jeffersonville, OH - we had a BLAST! Not to mention, we spent way too much money, but that's the point of an outlet mall, right? :)  Even though it was extremely stormy, we managed to always be inside when it was raining and the storm was ahead of us all the way home....here is a picture of our damage in my trunk, and then a few others of my loot at home :)

And yes, I did splurge on one thing:
This adorable Coach bag, and I don't regret it yet! haha!

Set on Fire!

I. LOVE. MY. CHURCH.
At Maranatha Fellowship on Sunday night, 3 people were saved.  Someone handed our pastor a note that asked if we were 'having service on Monday night?' out of the blue, and he said we sure were :) Well, Monday night another woman was saved, so we continued with our revival tonight and 3 more people gave their lives to the Lord!  I love that I can't wait to go to church. If you have time or you don't attend a church, you can join us at mfctoday.org and watch online! You won't be disappointed! :)

Also, the youth group at church is selling the infamous peanut butter eggs for $3.00 apiece and I helped make them so I know for a fact that they're delicious ;)...If you live around here and want to order any, just let me know!!!

Hodgepodge

I'm going to cram a lot into this post, so, you're welcome! :p....first, I wanted to show you a picture of the hailstorm we got last night.  I think this is the biggest hail I have ever seen that I can remember....I know it's not like 'golf ball' size, but it's still pretty big!

I feel like showing a little more of my spring/Easter decor, so... :)
A little spring to our bathroom...
...and a little more to our kitchen! :)

And a few little tweaks I made to my favorite room in the house:
I bought these black sconces at Big Lots a while back and finally got around to putting them up - I love them! Finished with this wall! (for now :p)
annnnnd, I got a new jewelry armoire for Christmas, but my big necklaces won't all fit in it :(...so I hung an Elfa rack up with 3m hooks, because 'wall nazi' (Tyler) complains we have too many holes in our walls that he will have to patch when we move out....lol...but it works out really well so far!

Anyway, I know that this was just 'busy-blogging', so that it looks like something's going on, even though it's not...haha! Tomorrow I'm going shopping at the Jeffersonville outlet mall with my friends Katie and Holly, so hopefully I'll have some awesome deals to post about! :D

G's New 'Do'

Sheesh! I haven't blogged in so long and I don't like it! I have just been so busy with school and a million other things, not to mention I haven't really had anything exciting to blog about :)...But, now that I'm on spring break I have at least a little bit of extra time, and I'm LOVING it! Saturday was shopping, Sunday was church and major spring cleaning, and today was relaxing, errand running, and impromptu revival at church.  To start out the day, Tyler let me sleep in and he took Gidget to the groomer at 8am.  I didn't even hear them leave I was so tired...well, when they got back I had a whole new puppy:
She looks so different, but she's still the cutest doggie ever! :p

Canaan Mini-Vacation

This weekend Tyler and I went to Canaan with his parents, his sister and her boyfriend, and his step-sister and her boyfriend.  Tyler and Jimmy went skiing the first night and the rest of us watched a movie.  We stayed in a cabin in the middle of nowhere - it was so cute and cozy.  The next day we went to Blackwater Falls - here are some pictures!
It was the perfect temperature - about 50 degrees so there was still some snow on the ground but not too cold
Because these deer live in a state park, they are so tame! They'd come right to you for food! (Tyler doesn't really have anything in his hand - it's illegal to feed them, but every single person we saw was giving them something)

And the goobers presenting our cabin :p

We had a fun-filled and relaxing weekend!
